Kate Bastedenbeck (CPFS, QBHA)
Executive Director
Kate Bastedenbeck is a Colorado native and a passionate advocate and educator, Kate draws from her own lived experience with addiction, incarceration, and identity, using those perspectives to inform programs that center dignity, healing, and equity.
Openly queer and deeply connected to her community, Kate is known for creating inclusive spaces where people feel genuinely seen and valued. Under her leadership, the Over The Rainbow Project has grown into a trusted resource for both individuals and organizations seeking informed, compassionate approaches to justice and recovery.
Outside of her work, Kate is a proud mom (to both human and fur babies) , serves on the Board of Directors for the ACLU-Colorado and a devoted Colorado Avalanche fan. Whether in advocacy, recovery spaces, or cheering from the stands, she shows up with authenticity, humor, and heart.
